Drive thru the Air Force Academy Feb 2

Kris was in town this week and we planned to do some sightseeing but it was so cold, there was no way we were going to be outside for long. We decided to drive thru the Air Force Academy then head up thru Cripple Creek and Victor.

At our first stop we found a few deer brave enough to be out and about in the cold...

Green Mountain Falls...Feb 2

As we made the drive toward Cripple Creek, Kris saw a sign for Green Mountain Falls. I had never been through there so we decided to drive through and see. Not much there, cute little town with a nice little froze pond with some geese...

Drive to Cripple Creek...Feb 2

We pulled off the road, into deeper snow than I thought. Kris was a little scared for a moment. I told her it was OK, if we got stuck I had great roadside assistance. That didn't help at the moment because she knew we didn't have cell service with either company.

Can you see the pond?
